![]() There is an old saying, that if you fail to plan, what you are really doing is planning to fail. If a community does not have a plan for its future, what ultimately may happen is that the community will fail to adapt to change and to take advantage of opportunities. A comprehensive plan can be a tool for planning the future growth of a local community. It should all inclusive, long-range and general. The Harry S. Truman Coordinating Council staff is ready to work with the Comprehensive Planning Committee to update Airport Drive’s Plan. We need residents willing to share their thoughts and opinions for the future of Airport Drive. This is your opportunity to talk about what you would like to see going forward for the Village. Things to think about:
You may want to consider putting in place contingency plans for dealing with them if they occur. There are many topics to study and discuss. According to the results of the surveys sent out in July 2019, utilities and the environment were the topics most important to residents. The Comp Plan Committee will look at transportation, utilities, economic development, historic preservation, environmental protection and anything the committee would like to focus on.
