![]() The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the National Drug Take-Back initiative on Saturday, April 27th, 2019. We will be collecting prescription drugs/narcotics in pill or liquid form. We will be located in the parking lot of the Joplin Courthouse located at 6th and Pearl from 10:00 A.M to 2:00 P.M. Please bring any unused or outdated prescription drugs that need to be disposed of. If you are unable to drop off your old & unused prescription drugs/narcotics on Saturday, you can always drop them off at our Municipal building. Which means, you should buy your new appliances from Metro Appliances and more during this tax holiday to save on your state sales tax (sorry you will still have to pay our local sales tax). The Show-Me Green Sales Tax Holiday exempts state sales tax on retail sales of qualifying energy star certified new appliances, up to $1500 per appliance, from April 19-25.
