The latest newsletter is out! You will receive it in the mail in the next few days, if you haven't already received it.
Newsletters are published once a quarter and include valuable information for Village residents. You will find a spotlight on Always Buying Books this time, information about the upcoming election for trustees, a note from Sergeant Roughton, and information about the next zoning meeting. Newsletters are mailed to most residents and emailed to some. If you would like to get yours emailed, just drop us a line at apdrive@att.net. You will also find the current newsletter and back issues on this website under the documents tab at the top of the screen (or click here). Sgt. Roughton wanted us to remind everyone about school bus safety, especially on highways (like Main Street Road/Hwy 43). It is against the law to pass a stopped school bus in Missouri, unless you are on a four lane divided highway. The following is taken from the Missouri Drivers Handbook and is on pages 44-45. Our kids are the future and their safety should be our priority. According to SaveMOLives website 6 children were killed in the US by cars ignoring the school bus safety laws - one of those was in Jasper county. It just takes a few minutes to stop when a school bus is unloading or loading, so please STOP.
